iPhoneを通して望む、電子書籍フォーマット統一
昨日よりOS3.0が提供され、iPhoneユーザーの皆さんは眠い目をこすりつつダウンロード、並びにアップデートされたようで、その様子（苦戦、悲鳴、迷い、もしくは歓喜の声）をTwitter、mixiなどで観客として楽しませて頂きました。
コピペ、Spotlight、MMSなどが話題になっている今回のアップデートですが、ボクがかねてよりiPhoneやtouchに密かに期待しているのは、電子書籍ソフトの搭載とデータのitunes販売。
今まで、CLIEやケータイ、Zaurusで購入していた書籍はブンコビューア形式だったんですけど、電子書籍フォーマットのスタンダードになりきれていない不安がどうしても拭えず…、積極的に購入を増やせなかったんですよね。
※石田衣良さん「池袋ウェストゲートパーク」シリーズや、宮部みゆきさん「龍は眠る」など、何度も読み返す書籍しか購入していない。
iPhoneやtouchの画面は書籍を読むにも丁度いいなぁ、と思っていたので、ぜひこの分野のコンテンツ販売においても、強みを発揮して欲しいなぁ、と。
業界的に期待薄かもしれないけど、そんな「流れ」が起こることを望んでいます
